Cory Jefferson added 25 points for Baylor (18-13, 9-9 Big 12), the 6-foot-9 junior forward combining his usual powerful dunks with his first three career 3-pointers.

Even after its worst loss in seven years, Kansas (26-5, 14-4) will still be the No. 1 seed for next week’s conference tournament in Kansas City, and now has at least a share of the last nine Big 12 regular-season titles. No. 5 GEORGETOWN 61, No. 17 SYRACUSE 39

WASHINGTON (AP) — Georgetown emphatically ended its Big East rivalry against Syracuse, wrapping up the regular-season title by holding the Orange to the lowest scoring output of their time in the conference.

On an afternoon when Otto Porter Jr. didn’t make a field goal until the second half, Georgetown used stifling defense to dominate Syracuse.

Porter finished with 10 points, but the national player of the year candidate contributed in plenty of other ways, as usual, with eight and seven assists.

Markel Starks scored 19, and freshman D’Vauntes Smith-Rivera had 15 points, five rebounds and five assists for the Hoyas (24-5, 14-4), who will be the No. 1 seed at the Big East tournament next week in New York.

Syracuse (23-8, 11-7), which had been hoping for a double-bye in the tournament, was led by Michael Carter-Williams’ 17 points. But the Orange shot only 32 percent from the field, including 1 for 11 on 3-point tries.

The Hoyas have won 12 of their last 13 games, including two wins against Syracuse.

The Hurricanes tied the school record for victories set in 2001-02, when they went 24-8, and improved to 14-1 at home in their regular-season finale.

The league championship is the second for the Hurricanes, who shared the Big East Conference title in 2000.

When these teams met a month ago at Notre Dame, they played five overtimes before the Fighting Irish won 104-101 in the longest regular-season game in Big East history. In fact, five of the last six and six of the past eight matchups between the schools went to overtime before Louisville took charge on Saturday.

Dieng and Siva were honored before the game as part of Louisville’s senior day festivities. Dieng, a junior center from Senegal, is expected to enter the draft after the season.

K-State led by as many as nine in the second half and was up 61-57 following Rodney McGruder’s three-point play with 4:45 remaining. The Cowboys (23-7, 13-5) didn’t allow another field goal for more than 4 minutes and hit 13 straight free throws during crunch time to come away with the win.

Kentucky (21-10, 12-6) could still use another win or two in next week’s Southeastern Conference tournament to help its chances. The Wildcats responded with their biggest gut check of the season, outscoring the Gators 11-0 over the final 7:28 for their second win over a Top 25 opponent.

Erik Murphy’s 17 points led Florida (24-6, 14-4), which missed its final 11 shots.

NEW YORK (AP) — Vander Blue’s driving layup dropped through as the overtime buzzer sounded, giving Marquette a victory over St. John’s and a share of the Big East regular-season championship, its first title since joining the conference in 2005-06.

This was their fourth straight win and sixth in seven games, and the Golden Eagles get a bye to the quarterfinals on Thursday.

St. John’s closed regulation on a 12-2 run, something most people didn’t see coming as the Red Storm (16-14, 8-10), who lost their fourth straight and sixth in seven games, struggled offensively except for the closing run.

No. 18 ARIZONA 73, ARIZONA STATE 58

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Nick Johnson scored 17 points, Solomon Hill added 12 in his final home game and Arizona earned a first-round bye in next week’s Pac-12 tournament with a rout of rival Arizona State.

A late-season slide left Arizona (24-6, 12-6 Pac-12) needing a win or some help to avoid playing next Wednesday in the conference tournament. The Wildcats took care of it themselves, building a 15-point lead in the first half and answering a big second-half run by the Sun Devils with one of their own.

Kevin Parrom had 13 points in his final game at the McKale Center and Kaleb Tarczewski had one of his most aggressive games of the season, finishing with nine points and eight rebounds.

Arizona State (20-11, 9-9) pulled within five in the second half but had trouble holding onto the ball, its 17 turnovers leading to 21 points for Arizona.

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) — J.J. Moore scored 21 points off the bench and Pittsburgh shot a school-record 72 percent to beat DePaul in the Panthers’ last Big East regular-season game.

The next stop for surging Pittsburgh is its final Big East tournament at Madison Square Garden in New York. The Panthers (24-7, 12-6), who will move into the Atlantic Coast Conference next season, are the No. 4 seed and receive a double-bye into Thursday’s quarterfinals.

Senior guard Tray Woodall added 18 points for Pitt, which has won 11 of its last 14 games and six of eight on the road.

Moore, a junior forward, hit a career-best five 3-pointers while many of his teammates got to the rim at will against DePaul (11-20, 2-16). Twenty-two of Pittsburgh’s 46 first-half points came on dunks or layups.

Moore went 8 for 8 from the field and tied his career high for points. Pitt’s shooting performance was the best ever by a Big East team in conference play.

BOULDER, Colo. (AP) — Xavier Johnson had a career-high 22 points, Spencer added 17 and Colorado beat No. 19 Oregon 76-53 on Thursday night, completing a and thwarting the Ducks’ bid to gain a share of the Pac-12 Conference title.

The (20-9, 10-7) played without the nation’s leading rebounder, Andre Roberson, who sat out with a . Gone with the athletic junior forward were 11.5 rebounds and 10.8 points a game.

Arsalan Kazemi, Jonathan and Ben Carter each had 10 points for Oregon (23-7, 12-5), which fell into a first-place tie with UCLA. The Ducks hold the tiebreaker after beating the Bruins in their only meeting in January. Oregon can wrap up at least a share of their first since 2002 — along with the No. 1 seed for the Pac-12 tournament — with a win at Utah on Saturday.

Little-used backups Xavier Talton and Jeremy Adams played big minutes as they helped pick up the slack in Roberson’s absence. Adams’ early in the second half gave the Buffs a 52-29 lead and brought the to its feet. So loud were the fans that Oregon players went on playing right through an official’s whistle for a timeout.

Moments after play resumed, Shane Harris-Tunks crumbled to the floor after being bumped by Waverly Austin, who drew a flagrant foul. Dinwiddie made both free throws.

From there, the Buffs cruised to the victory as they reached the 20-win mark for the seventh times in school history, including three under Tad Boyle.

Colorado beat Oregon 48-47 last month, snapping the Ducks’ 20-game home court . This was the Buffs’ second sweep of a league foe this season, taking two from Stanford as well.

Askia Booker also added 11 points as Colorado improved to 12-2 at Coors Events Center this season.

Roberson was reduced to the role spectator, clapping on the bench at his team’s high-energy performance as he missed just his third start since his . Even without Roberson, the Buffs still outrebounded the Ducks by a 38-35 margin.

The Ducks had a week off after beating Oregon State to close out a 17-2 campaign at home this season. The break was especially beneficial for freshman guard Damyean Dotson, who fell hard to the court against the Beavers and had to be carried off the court with a hip injury.

Dotson was held to against CU.

The Ducks couldn’t find any sort of offensive rhythm, shooting just 37.5 percent from the floor and going 9 of 22 from the free throw line.

Broncos boss John Elway showed up moments after tip and took a seat in the first row opposite the Buffs’ bench.

At halftime, Elway had a brief chat with CU athletic direction Mike Bohn, who presented the Hall of Fame QB with a basketball. Elway dribbled it around for several minutes, even palming the ball, before sitting back down. Later in the game, Elway tossed it into the crowd with a mighty heave.

The Buffs move to 4-2 against teams in the Top 25 this season. They haven’t had a winning record against ranked teams since 1961-62.

No. 4 Stanford women rout Oregon State 90-53

STANFORD, Calif. (AP) Only a few years ago, Joslyn Tinkle played a limited role behind former Stanford stars Jayne Appel and Nnemkadi Ogwumike. Even Tinkle couldn’t have envisioned becoming a Stanford regular who is counted on each night on both ends of the floor.

Or becoming a 1,000-point scorer, either.

Tinkle reached the milestone early in the second half and Chiney Ogwumike had 19 points and 12 rebounds for No. 4 Stanford in a 90-53 victory over Oregon State on for its 11th .

“Coming into this year, I knew it was my time,” Tinkle said. “Regardless of any situations, if my shot wasn’t falling, t’s a big . It’s a cool thing to accomplish, especially at Stanford. Each game I go in knowing they rely on me. To be successful and go where we want to go, I have to bring it every game.”

Amber Orrange added 15 points on 7-for-9 shooting, six assists and two steals for Stanford (25-2, 14-1 Pac-12), which has won 27 straight games against Oregon State and also owns a 27-game home against the Beavers at Maples Pavilion.

Tinkle struggled with her shot but hit two late 3-pointers to finish with 11 points as Stanford stayed unbeaten in its last 11 games since a 67-55 loss to rival California at home on Jan. 13. The sixth-ranked Golden Bears beat Oregon 77-55 in Berkeley, so Stanford kept pace atop the conference standings.

“This was a really special game for us,” Ogwumike said. “We’ve been waiting for a time when everybody steps up at the right time. Today was a great starting point playing hard for 40 minutes.”

Ogwumike, coming off a 26-point performance in a 68-57 win at UCLA last Sunday, also had four blocked shots and two steals. Her highlight came on an acrobatic swish in which she released the ball from beneath the backboard while falling out of bounds into a cameraman after being fouled. The three-point play put the Cardinal ahead 65-35 with 11:26 remaining – though Ogwumike didn’t initially know she had scored until seeing her teammates cheer and raise their arms.

“I had no clue,” she said.

On that play, Ogwumike also set a career high with 11 made free throws as Stanford shot 16 for 18 from the line. Sophomore Taylor Greenfield matched her career high with 18 points for Stanford, which shot 48.5 percent from the field.

“They have a superstar inside. We did a decent job slowing her down,” Oregon State Scott Rueck said. “I thought we got decent looks to be honest, we just didn’t make them. The second half turned into a shooting drill. … I think you learn from every loss. I liked our intensity, liked the way we executed.”

Beavers leading scorer Jamie Weisner scored 12 points to lead cold-shooting Oregon State (9-18, 3-12), which went 22 of 68 from the floor for 32.4 percent in losing its ninth .

No. 5 Duke women beat No. 19 Florida State 61-50

DURHAM, N.C. (AP) Minus Chelsea Gray, No. 5 Duke came out scrapping – with its opponent, and with each other.

Playing their first game since the Atlantic Coast Conference leader in assists and steals sustained a season-ending knee injury, the pulled away in the second half to beat No. 19 Florida State 61-50 Friday night.

The victory was punctuated by a shouting match on the Duke bench between coach Joanne P. McCallie and forward Haley Peters.

“The kids on the floor really missed a show,” McCallie said. “The kids on the bench at the time were like, `Whoa.’ But that’s what it’s like. These games are intense and a lot of conflict.”

Elizabeth Williams had 20 points and 13 rebounds, and Duke used a 26-4 run to take control.

“It was a nice battle for our team,” McCallie said. “We certainly can play a lot better. But I loved our grit and I loved our fight.”

Chloe Wells added 15 points off the bench for Duke (25-1, 15-0). The Blue Devils won their 37th consecutive home game against ACC competition.

“When Chelsea went down, that was a big blow for us,” Wells said. “We were pressing in the beginning, and I knew that. So I just tried to come in and settle down and just play our game.”

Gray was hurt at Wake Forest on Sunday. The Blue Devils had 22 turnovers and shot just 34 percent without her.

Gray’s absence, along with several missed layups, contributed to a slow start for the Blue Devils that left McCallie and Peters arguing during the first half.

Peters was pulled after back-to-back turnovers, and she and McCallie had an animated conversation as play continued. Right after, Gray moved from her seat on the bench so that she could sit next to Peters.

Peters finished 2 of 11 from the floor, but grabbed a career-high 14 rebounds.

“But Haley is a pretty special cat. I don’t know too many people who would get 14 rebounds when offensively her game wasn’t where she wanted it to be. That is one mean lady,” McCallie said.

Duke trailed 24-20 early in the second half but took charge with its big run over the next 9 minutes.

Wells hit a jumper from the foul line to give the Blue Devils a 28-26 lead with 15:36 remaining, and they never trailed again.

Wells added a pair of 3-pointers, the second of which gave her team a 43-28 cushion.

Alexa Deluzio scored 16 points to lead Florida State (20-6, 10-5), which lost for the sixth straight time to Duke. Natasha Howard added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Seminoles.

Cal women beat Ducks for school-record 12th in row
