NEW YORK (AP) — Carmelo Anthony scored 29 points in just 32 minutes, and the ended a two- with a 121-100 victory over the on Sunday.

Evan Turner scored 16 points, Lavoy Allen had 11 and Thaddeus Young 10 for the 76ers, who snapped a two-game losing streak. The Sixers (8-6) haven’t dropped three in a row all season.

Michael Beasley led the Suns with 21 points while Marcin Gortat added 18.

Sebastian Telfair scored 12 points, Jermaine O’Neal had 11 while Goran Dragic and had 10 each for the Suns (6-8), who had won two in a row.

CELTICS 116, MAGIC 110, OT

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Kevin Garnett had 24 points and 10 rebounds, Paul Pierce added 23 points and Rajon Rondo was one rebound shy of a triple double with 15 points and 16 assists as Boston outlasted Orlando in overtime.

The Celtics won their second straight and earned their sixth consecutive win over the Magic. They return home Wednesday for a pair of home games, beginning with Brooklyn on Wednesday.

J.J. Redick scored 21 and Jameer Nelson had 20 for the Magic, whose loss snapped a two-game win streak.

Orlando led by as many as seven in the fourth quarter, but had 19 turnovers.

NUGGETS 102, HORNETS 84

DENVER (AP) — Andre Iguodala scored 23 points, Kenneth Faried had his eighth double-double of the season and the Nuggets beat the struggling Hornets.

Faried had 14 points and 12 rebounds for Denver, winners of four straight.

Ty Lawson had 17 points and six assists for the Nuggets who are 4-1 at home.

Reserve Brian Roberts led New Orleans with 17 points. Ryan Anderson added 16, but was held scoreless in the second half.

The Hornets have lost seven straight.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Carmelo Anthony scored 21 points and had 17 to lead the New York Knicks to a 110-88 win over the on Monday night.

scored 16 points and had 14 to lead the Knicks to their first 3-0 start since the 1999-2000 season. The Knicks beat the 100-84 on Sunday in the opener of the home-and-home series.

The Knicks busted the game open in the third quarter, stretching the lead to 21 points. They got a surprising third from 38-year-old Rasheed Wallace, who scored eight points and hit a couple of 3-pointers, including a 26-footer at the buzzer to end the quarter.

MIAMI (AP) — LeBron James had 23 points and 11 rebounds, Dwyane Wade scored 22 points and Miami beat Phoenix.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — Zach Randolph had 16 points and 18 rebounds, Marc Gasol added 22 points and Memphis capped a day of celebration by beating Utah.

Mike Conley added 16 points, Rudy Gay had 15 and Quincy Pondexter 14 for Memphis, which won its second straight this season after opening up with two games in California.

DALLAS (AP) — O.J. Mayo scored 32 points, his second consecutive 30-point game at home, and Dallas used a fourth-quarter surge to beat Portland.

Mayo, one of a trio of Mavericks newcomers who scored in double figures, made six 3-pointers and capped his night with a running dunk with 1:18 left. He scored 30 in the home opener two nights earlier. Chris Kaman had 16 points, and had 14 points and 13 assists for the Mavericks.

LaMarcus Aldridge and Wesley Matthews had 20 points each for Portland. The Trail Blazers are coached by Terry Stotts, a Mavericks assistant the past four seasons under Rick Carlisle.

SAN ANTONIO (AP) — Gary Neal scored 17 points and San Antonio set a franchise record for best start to a season with its fourth straight win.

Tim Duncan added 14 points and 11 rebounds for the Spurs (4-0). DeJuan Blair added 14 points, Stephen Jackson 12 and Danny Green 10.

Former Spurs guard George Hill led Indiana with 15 points. Paul George added 14 points and David West had 10.

San Antonio’s reserves outscored Indiana’s bench players 57-35.

The Spurs never trailed by less than 10 points in the second half. The Pacers shot just 35 percent from the field in the game.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Rookie Dion Waiters hit seven 3-pointers and scored 28 points, helping Cleveland stave off a fourth-quarter rally by Los Angeles.

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — DeMarcus Cousins scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as Sacramento held off Golden State to avoid an 0-4 start.

Cousins outworked slow-footed Andrew Bogut and every other Warriors big man to help Sacramento score 16 straight points during the third quarter and bust open a tie game.

Bogut hardly looked to be at full strength. He had 12 points and three rebounds while playing almost 19 minutes as Golden State’s new franchise center — and his surgically repaired left ankle — eases back into shape.

Klay Thompson had 22 points and David Lee added 20 points to bring the Warriors within a point in the final minute. But Thompson missed a potential tying jumper and Stephen Curry missed a 3-pointer as time expired to seal Golden State’s first road loss this season.

Marcus Thornton scored 16 points and Aaron Brooks had 12 for Sacramento in its home opener.

NEW YORK (AP) — Carmelo Anthony had 35 points, 12 and 10 assists for his second career triple-double, and the made 19 3-pointers to preserve their Atlantic Division title hopes with a 118-110 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night.

JR Smith and Steve Novak both scored 25 points for the Knicks, who overcame a season-high 43 points from Paul Pierce and moved into of seventh place in the Eastern Conference while trimming Boston’s division lead to 3 1/2 games. The Celtics would have wrapped up their fifth straight Atlantic title with a victory.

The Cavaliers were without rookie point guard Kyrie Irving, who was out with a right shoulder problem and hasn’t played since April 3. Irving could return Wednesday night against Philadelphia. Cleveland forward Alonzo Gee was a late scratch because of a left ankle sprain.

According to STATS LLC, the biggest blowout of the season was Portland’s 44-point victory over Charlotte on Feb. 1.

Manny Harris led the Cavaliers with 18 points.

GRIZZLIES 91, TIMBERWOLVES 84

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Rudy Gay had 28 points and nine rebounds to help Memphis withstand a weak start to the fourth quarter and beat Minnesota for the eighth straight time.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Tony Parker scored 25 points, Tim Duncan added 16 points and 19 rebounds, and San Antonio inched closer to Oklahoma City in the Western Conference standings.

San Antonio rolled to a 27-point lead in the first half and was up by 20 late in the third quarter before Oklahoma City rallied within two down the stretch.
