LOS ANGELES — More celebrity sex-tape drama. This time it’s Tia Tequila who reportedly is involved in a bidding war over her not one, but two sex tapes. TMZ reports the sex tapes include two different partners with girl-on-girl and guy-on-girl action. Vivid reportedly wants both tapes, but another company has already grabbed a hold of one and is vying for the other. Both companies want to sign Tequila and distribute the tapes, but neither company can do anything without her permission. Al-Qaeda terror plot targeting Europe uncovered

Western intelligence sources say they have uncovered a plot by al-Qaeda to carry out co-ordinated attacks in the UK, France and Germany. It is understood the plan involves small teams of militants seizing hostages and murdering them, similar to the attacks in Mumbai in 2008. Intelligence officials believe the plot was inspired by the al-Qaeda leadership in the remote tribal areas of Pakistan. Sources say recent US drone attacks in the region have targeted the planners. The BBC's security correspondent Frank Gardner said the plot was believed to have moved from the aspirational stage to actual planning. Western security agencies may have been hoping to keep the matter out of the public realm for longer so criminal evidence could be gathered, our correspondent added, but initial details were leaked to the US media. However, in the UK, no imminent arrests are expected, and the national threat level remains at its current level of severe. In an effort to foil the attacks, the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) has ramped up missile strikes from unmanned drones against militants in the Pakistani tribal regions, the Wall Street Journal reported, citing security officials. Map locator The US has carried out at least 20 drone strikes so far this month in Pakistan's tribal areas - the highest monthly total for the past six years, US media reported. Earlier this week, reports from the area said a senior al-Qaeda leader - Sheikh Fateh al-Masri - had been killed in a drone attack in North Waziristan. Security expert and former CIA officer Robert Baer told the BBC's World Today programme he believed the the latest threat to the West may be linked to the US-led attacks on Haqqani insurgents - allies of the Taliban in Waziristan. "I think what we are facing here is a reprisal from the Haqqani network against the United States and Britain for the stepped-up aerial campaign in the tribal areas of Pakistan. "You have to look at the way these people look at the world. It is very tribal. They think they are in a feud with the West. They don't understand why they are under attack and they intend to take revenge." Last week, the US Secretary for Homeland Security Janet Napolitano warned there was "increased activity by a more diverse set of groups and a more diverse set of threats... directed at the West generally". She is due to meet her European counterparts at a UN aviation security meeting in Montreal this week. In the UK, the national threat remains at severe, where it has been since January, meaning a terrorist attack is thought highly likely. But government officials say there are no plans to raise it to the highest level of critical, and they do not expect to see an imminent wave of arrests. France and Germany are both on a heightened state of security alert. Study: Porn Searches Surge in States Voting for Winning Candidates

CYBERSPACE—A just-released study conducted by a husband-and-wife team of psychologists found that porn searches surge following national elections in states that voted for the winning candidate. The researchers are not particularly sure why that happens, but they thought the results were interesting enough to have them published on the Evolution and Human Behavior website. The abstract on the site reads, “The current study examined whether or not individuals who vicariously win a competition seek out pornography relatively more often than individuals who vicariously lose a competition. By examining a portion of Google keyword searches during the 2004, 2006 and 2008 US election cycles, the relative popularity of online pornography keywords searches was computed for each state and the District of Columbia the week before and the week after each election. “Consistent with the Challenge Hypothesis, following all three election cycles, individuals located in states voting for the winning political party tended to search for pornography keywords relatively more often than individuals residing in states voting for the losing political party.” “We don't know for sure if testosterone is the reason why we are seeing these changes in porn-seeking behavior, but it seems like the best explanation at the moment,” said Villanova University’s Patrick Markey, who worked on the study with his wife, Charlotte Markey of Rutgers University. “If we saw this just for one election, you might chalk it up to chance, but we saw a pattern with it happening three times,” Markey told LiveScience.com. "It's also cool that we saw these results with both Republicans and Democrats—that these were general results not just driven by one political party." The researchers had devised the study after looking at past research showing that people who win or lose in competitions often experience a respective surge or drop in testosterone. “Such changes are seen even if the people are only spectators of contests,” reported Live Science. “For instance, while men typically show a slight nighttime drop in testosterone levels, male voters for Sen. John McCain showed a larger testosterone drop than normal during the 2008 U.S. presidential election, while those of male voters for Sen. Kink Study Reveals Growing Acceptance of Alternative Sex Acts

SAN FRANCISCO — Kink.com today released a Sexual Perception Study, which found that the average man is feeling less stigmatized when discussing his sexuality and that some people are probably a little more deviant than what the greater population might be aware of. “Engaging in a variety of safe, consensual and mutually pleasurable sexual activities adds to the development of healthy relationships and perhaps boosts an individual's mental, physical and spiritual health as well,” said Eric Marlowe Garrison, consultant, sexologist and author of the "Mastering Multiple Position Sex." “The Sexual Perception Study sheds light on dozens of historically taboo, alternative sexual activities that society is now beginning to cast aside and even accept with open arms.” In the study of 315 men between the ages of 25 to 54, not only do a great majority support couples in their right to consensually please one another as they wish, their support of historically taboo activities is overwhelming. According to survey responses, 37 percent of men would be interested in having sex in public and 30 percent of men would possibly be interested in tying someone up or being tied up assuming safety and a willing partner. 53 percent of respondents said they get sexually aroused from seeing people other than their partner nude and 52 percent are sexually aroused watching others have sex — 47 percent who are “somewhat/very religious.” “The fact that the world is loosening up a bit is so refreshing,” said Peter Acworth, founder of Kink.com. “We’ve been stereotyped for far too long. 7 Bit Torrent Piracy Suits Target 5,469

MARTINSBURG, W. Va. — In one of the largest swoops targeting bit torrent piracy, numerous suits were filed Friday against 5,469 suspected of poaching porn off the Internet, XBIZ has learned. West Coast Productions, Combat Zone, Third World Media and Patrick Collins Inc. filed seven suits at U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, W. Va., against the bit torrent users whose IP addresses were tracked. All of the suits were filed by attorney Kenneth J. Ford at U.S. District Court in Martinsburg, W. Va., and seek to identify each user through their Internet service providers. Each asks for injunctive relief and damages. West Coast Productions, in their suits, named 2,010 John Does who allegedly shared "Bomb Ass White Booty 14" and 535 for "Juicy White Anal Booty 4." Meanwhile, Combat Zone filed a claim against 1,037 users who downloaded and distributed "Teen Babysitters" and 245 for "Relax He's My Stepdad 2." Third World Media sued 1,243 for those who shared "Tokyo Teens." And Patrick Collins Inc. filed suit against 281 Does for "Pornstar Superheroes" and 118 for "Massive Asses 5." XBIZ questions posed to attorney Ford, who filed the seven suits, went unreturned at post time. A company called Adult Copyright Company, which operates XXXCopyright.com, takes credit for the piracy claims that Ford filed. Attorney Gill Sperlein, who is general counsel for Titan Media and also directs the Free Speech Coalition's APAP anti-piracy initiative, said that mass filings over piracy are now part of the economic equation for adult companies. "It is not surprising that content owners are seeking new ways to try to recoup a small portion of the huge amounts of revenue lost to piracy," Sperlein told XBIZ. "Allowing unfettered illegal distribution of content is simply not sustainable." But Sperlein said he urges content owners to be extremely careful if their plan is to use the content as a means of embarrassing people who have pirated content.
